Microsoft word to edit e-mail messages

While using “Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages†in Outlook 2000, the
system hangs and winword.exe consumes about 98% of system resources rendering
my system useless. I have tried to repair and reinstall Microsoft Office
several times without success. I am using Outlook Version 9.0.0.2711 and
Word Version 9.0.2720. I would appreciate any help you could provide.
Thanks. Sam Barrick.

Does Word work correctly on it's own? Also apply Office Service Pack 3 +
additional updates.

-What do the Outlook Icons Mean?
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

Word did work correctly on its own. The key was the installation of Service
Pack 3--that took care of the problem. Thank you for you timely and helpful
response. Sam Barrick.
