Microsoft Word Processor

If I go to Programs, Microsoft Works, Word Processor and click it opens to a
document I typed a while back.. also when I find an email I want to save
offline what is the best way to to do this.? I have been copying and
pasting in notepad or problems with word processor I did use that .

For the save email File>Save as::::follow the yellow brick road.
