Microsoft word is not catching misspelled words during spell check

I have microsoft 2007 and for some reason my spell check does not pick up any
misspelled words anymore (nothing not even blatanly misspelled words). I
have no idea how this occurred, it used to work. If anyone has any
suggestions please let me know.
