Does Microsoft Word have an equivalent of WordPerfect's Quick Words?

I've used WordPerfect since 1985 and am familiar with Quick Words.
In my view AutoCorrect is very close to Quick Words: it works on
formatting (like closings for a letter) and "pops in" just by typing the
word you've selected. Hence, I don't understand your "not even close".
