Not sure how WordPerfect's Quick Words work, but in Word you might try
the AutoText and AutoCorrect features.

Then maybe you could briefly describe how WordPerfect's Quick Words work.

Not even close...

I've used WordPerfect since 1985 and am familiar with Quick Words.
In my view AutoCorrect is very close to Quick Words: it works on
formatting (like closings for a letter) and "pops in" just by typing the
word you've selected. Hence, I don't understand your "not even close".
