Microsoft warns of IE8 lock-in with XP SP3

This is a previous "known" / "published" warning!!! If you have
installed IE 7 or IE8 prior to updating to Service Pack 3, you will
not be able to uninstall the "newer" IE.

Actually, this is different.

In the examples you mentioned, the user could uninstall SP3. But once
someone installs IE8 Beta 2, even that option is gone.

Has anyone noticed that Outlook Express is unable to properly handle
attribution marks when replying to a post like smlunatick's? (That is,
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 /
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable, as in Google Groups)

OEQuoteFix seems to fix this issue. Still, I think I'd like to try
another newsreader that has a similar feel to OE but that also is
GNKSA-compliant. So far, I've tried Xnews, Agent, 40tude, and
Thinderbird, but to tell you the truth, none of these seems to be as
comfortable as OE!
