I am running xp home (32), sp3, ie8 and visual c++ 2005. If I update to c++
2008 do I need to uninstall c++ 2005? Would it be alright to run both, or
does one supersede the other? As you can tell by the 2005 c++ this is an
older computer, with some games that go that far back. Just curious if both
are needed.
Your advised will be greatly appreciated.

Best to ask the experts in a C++ newsgroup.

Google is your friend. I typed

C++ newsgroup

into a Google search box and got ten relevant links on the first page. Take
your pick!
