Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Two programs (MegaPhone 2002 v2 and Spam Sleuth)
immediately after opening terminate, showing the following
error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! -
abnormal program termination

It's my understanding this problem may be in the Microsoft
Visual Studio, but I have no idea what to look for. I
don't know the first thing about VS and don't know when it
was loaded on the computer - whether it's part of another
MS application installed.

Any thoughts?

It may be caused because these programs need something in .NET framework 1.0
or 1.1 to run correctly, and you don't either or neither of these frameworks
installed. This is just a guess, though.
