Microsoft Spyware Beta and Spyware returning

D

Dave

I installed the Beta Software and it cleaned the adware
and spyware out of my computer better than Antivrus or Ad-
Aware (Lava) or so it seems...these other products were
often unable to remove the intruders from the registery
and indicated "failed to remove" and asked me to skip or
quarantine them -- which was frustrating...However, I'm
now noticing that these buggers are trying to get back
into on to my system....and independently trying comming
back even when I'n not on any sites...what is making them
return? I thought they were removed? Are they associated
with my Browser.....some of the most aggressive are
Bargain Buddy (bargains.exe)...Exact advertising
(Bullseye -- this company should be fined and shut down
for their tactics) and Winadtools. Any insights would be
approeciated.

You aren't clean yet.

I'd recommend:

1) restart your system in safe mode, and do a full, deep scan with Microsoft
antispyware and current definitions--5699, at this writing. (see help,
about.) Hit the F8 key as the machine boots before the first Windows screen
comes up to get to safe mode.

It is a good idea to repeat a scan until it comes through clean. This can
be true either in normal mode or safe mode.

2) If that alone doesn't do the job, you've got something, or a combination
of things, that Microsoft Antispyware can't effectively clean.

Posting a HijackThis log in a forum such as this one:

is the next way to go for cleaning an unknow bug.
