Press release, September 13
http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2005/sep05/09-13OfficeUI.mspx
There is a click on the thumbnail to get a high resolution picture of Access
12.
Looks ok, but is going to be a less friendly development environment for
those of us with hundreds or thousands of objects - and "No, we don't have a
"classic mode." "
Unlike Access 2.0, it seems to have been built using Office objects rather
than Access objects: again, good for users, sad for developers who use
Access objects to build applications.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH - A PICTURE OF THE ACCESS INTERFACE IN AN ARTICLE ABOUT
OFFICE 12 "CORE" APPLICATIONS.
In the past Access has suffered from not being a "Core" application. The
most egregious example was the release of Access 2000 and 95 to match the
Office release date, although Access was not ready for release in either
case.
