Microsoft Paint Wont Paint Colors

I open paint and was going to draw something that needed color, but when i went to draw it only painted in black and white. i went to attributes to see if i had somehow turned black and white on but no. please help

Click a colour on the colour bar, left click draw colour and right click fill colour.
