microsoft outlook

this happened last time I ran microsoft updates and somehow when I called microsoft they wanted to charge me $49.99 to solve the problem. For whatever reason I told them I did a recent update so they waived the fee. When they looked at my computer remotely it majically got fixed by itself. Once again I ran updates a few days ago and now my outlook smtp and pop setting window keeps popping up and asking me for my password. I can't recieve or send any messages through my outlook now. Anybody have any suggestions as to how fix this problem. I called mircosoft and they want to charge me again. BS!

This usually happens when your ISP is down with their connection to pop and smtp. It
can also happen that if OL is open for a long time then you need to close and
reboot. This usually fixes that issue
