Microsoft Outlook keeps turning up on my desktop at startup and "stealing"
the default from Outlook Express which I use for email. How do I stop this
from happening? I have to go into Outlook Express and go to properties and
reclaim the default status. Thanks for a solution if you have one.

Hi

Try this - open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>Internet
Options>Programs - then change the E-mail drop down list to Outlook
Express - Apply>OK.

Thank you. It was and I applied again. The problem is at startup so I won't
know if it fixed it until I reboot. Thanks again.

If Outlook still persists to be the default app, try this:

1. On the Outlook Tools menu, click Options, then click Other.

2. Under General, uncheck the "Make Outlook the default program for E-mail,
Contacts, and Calendar" option, then click on Apply & OK your way out.

3. Close Outlook, restart your system and check the results.
