Microsoft Outlook unable to send or receive emails.

I am unable to send or recieve emails on Microsoft Outlook. Outgoing emails stay in my outbox.
I am able to go online and go to webpages. Everything else works.

Help.

Make sure you are in not in Off-line mode; File-> Work Off-line.
Also check if they go when you press Send/Receive

If this doesn't work either post more info like verison of Outlook and
e-mail service you are using (POP3, IMAP, etc...)

Great tip... that appears to have remedied the problem. What is the cause?
 
Depends on your setup but somewhere you told Outlook to work Off-line.
