Microsoft Outlook Mass Email

I have a small business and want to send mass emails to my clients when I
have specials. How can I send an email w/o them getting rejected as having
too many recipients. I have tried highlighting all my "business" contacts and
then sending an email, but they get rejected. When I attempted to do a mail
merge, it stated my contacts were empty??

What version of Outlook? Are you starting the mail merge from Outlook? Post the steps you are using and where the failure occurs.

"too many recipients" is probably set by your server. You need to reduce the
size of each merge. Start he Mail Merge from within Outlook. Open your
Contacts folder select a subset of Contacts then choose Tools | Mail Merge
form the Outlook menu.

Microsoft Office Outllook 2003. The failure occurs after I send a mass email
(not thru mail merge) so I think it is thru my internet provider who is
limiting the amount that I can send. When I tried to do a mail merge, outlook
states that I do not have any contacts. I have over 300 business contacts in
my address book so this is one of my dilemmas.

Are my contacts and address book two different entities....if so, then my
address book is indeed empty and my contacts are what I utilize. I need to
learn how to use the mail merge function.

I believe you are right. I am attempting to learn how to use the mail merge
function thru a tutorial. My "address list" states that it can not be
displayed. The contacts folder associatedd with this address list count not
be opened. It may have been moved or deleted or you do no have permission.
For into on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see
Microsoft Office Outlook Help.

This is my next project I guess. What is the difference from my address book
and contacts?

Your address book is usually just a representation of your Contacts
folders - the default one and others you might choose. I say "usually" since
there are different types of address books. What I'm referring to is the
"Outlook Address book".
Open your Address Book - is it populated? look in Tools | Options from the
Address Book menu - Provided a Contacts folder is enabled as an Outlook
Address Book ( In the Address book tab in the Properties of the folder) you
can set which Contacts folder is first shown, the search order and add
additional Contacts folders.

There are no entries in my address book. How can I put my contacts in my
address book?

No. Your address book is a view of those of your Contacts folders that you
have enabled as address books.
