Microsoft Outlook Express Backup Mail - HELP!

I re-formatted my hard drive, so I had stored my identities from outlook
express to another drive. When I moved them back to a newly restore outlook
express identities folder, they wouldn't open. I tried opening them with a
program file "outlook Msmn" and now I don't know how to change them back. How
will I ever be able to read all that mail? How do I move it now?? Ouch!
