Microsoft Office Shortcut bar

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I recently upgraded to MS Office
2003 and now the shortcut bar no longer appears in the top right. I've
checked that I still have it, and it's there in MS Office Tools. I can even
double-click on it and it appears in the correct place, functioning perfectly.

However, I am a pedant, and I want it to kick-in when I boot-up, but I don't
know how to make it do this.

Can anyone please helpe me? Simple instructions of no more than one syllable
would be appreciated as I'm not the most technically-minded knife in the
drawer ...

If it works like 2000 does, open it and then close it and a message
should appear asking you if you want it to load when Windows does. Click
on Yes.

OK - thanks. I've done that and I did get the message that you suggested.
I'll shut down in a minute and restart and we'll see what happens.

Cheers!

It was discontinued in favour of the Quick Launch toolbar in Win XP (among
other alternatives).
