"microsoft office excel has encountered a problem and needs to close"
this is the error that i get whle i am working in excel and it asks me to
restart the excel, leading to the loss of work
Please help

We will need a deal more help than this, what version (Inc. Service Packs)?
What are you doing when it happens? Have you installed any hardware
recently? What is the first line of the error? What operating system have
you got?
