Microsoft Office 2007- Word

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to open several documents within one
window pane of Word 2007. I have been an MS user for many years but recently
moved job and Lotus Smartsuite was the package in use, however we have now
moved to MS Office 2007 and I miss the option of being able to split screens
within one window pane. I can do it in Excel so why does it not seem so
obvious in Word.
 
You should be able to open more than one document and in Window Options,
Arrange ALL with make a horizontal cascade to view the open documents. If you
need to compare only 2, Window, Side By Side would be your option
