Microsoft MVP Trolling Activity

Mike Williams

I don't know whether anyone from Microsoft regularly reads the Visual Basic
groups but if they do then I am very surprised that they permit one of their
own MVPs to engage in such outrageous long term trolling activities in one
of their own public newsgroups, such as the activity that the person who
purports to be Bill McCarthy has engaged in on the
microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion group for many months. If this man
belongs to you:

.. . . then perhaps you might like to look at his activity in that group.
Here for example is one of his very latest offerings:

<yawn> Still trolling hey Mike ? Why don't you take your won advice and
the advice of your wife and jsut focus on answering questions.

Even my wife keeps telling me to "wind my neck in" and stop posting all
this what
she calls "daft stuff" to the group. I know she's right, and I know you are
right too. It's just that I've got this little Micro$oft bee buzzing around
in my head and it won't stop buzzing :) But you are quite right, and I'll
try to behave from now on (seriously).

I do understand you feel upset that Microsoft decided you weren't worthy of
being a MVP, but your recent attacks on MVPs is really taking that bee in
your head thing just a bit far.

I suggest you relax, and enjoy your retirement years, rather than make up
conspiracy theories and the such. You'll find that bee might stop buzzing,
and everyone, including your wife will be a lot happier.

Thanks Mike, all the best.
