Microsoft messenger will not connect - error message 0x81000301

Does any body have any idea what the above code means? It is really strange
because when I connected my neighbours pc in my house using my wireless
connection, msn messenger worked. But when I took it back to his house it
would not connect giving the above error message. Yahoo messenger works so
does the internet but for some reason msn messenger will not connect.
Anyideas?

Check firewall settings. Otherwise, remove and reinstall.
