Microsoft Jet

I noticed that every time I go to Windows Update, there is an update for
Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 7 (SP7). Just what is Microsoft Jet? I'm not
sure I even have it. Search only listed 2 or 3 files with "jet" as part of
it's name. Can someone enlighten me? I kinda feel stupid asking, but....

Do you have MS Office or Access installed?
