Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0

I downloaded Internet Explorer 6.0 and every time I try to
open the browser, I get "Microsoft Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience".

Can anyone help me? I've tried uninstalling and
re-installing IE6 3 times to no avail.
