Microsoft Fingerprint Reader Install Error

When trying to install the DigitalPersona Password Manager software to run my
Microsoft Fingerprint reader i get the following error:
Product: DigitalPersona Password Manager 2.0.1 -- Error 1722.There is a
problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the
setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package
vendor. Action RegDpHost, location: C:\Program
Files\DigitalPersona\Bin\DpHost.exe, command: /regserver

It was previously installed, then started playing up, so i uninstalled and
attempted to re-install again.

Any ideas?
