Microsoft and StyleXP

I would just like someone to clarify Microsoft's position as to the use of
StyleXP from TGTSoft.inc.
There has been a lot of debates in newsgroups and forums which provide a lot
of heated discussions about it being reverse engineering or against the EULA
to use but without providing any sort of proof on the matter.
Does anyone know Microsoft's position on this?

Questions regarding "legal stuff" should be addressed to:

Microsoft Corporate and Legal Affairs
Microsoft Corporation

what a wuss mvp. state your educated mind not your
corporate orders.

I'm sure if Ms. Frisch was a lawyer she could answer you,
but she is most likely not, So contact Microsoft's legal
or read the EULA yourself and figure it out yourself!

Did you by any chance download a theme from ThemeXP.org? because they are
wrapping legitimate msstyles with spyware... NewNet Gator to name just a
few.

It may well have been produced by reverse engineering, but a user is not
doing any if he installs and uses it. But don't expect support or
sympathy from MSoft if there is then trouble. if things make
assumptions on how internal, undocumented interfaces work, the authors
and users must expect trouble at times if updates change those
interfaces. In particular uninstall anything of the sort before
installing a Service Pack
