Microsoft Access

I can not enter data into an access form or table when the table is linked to
an excel spread sheet (on my home computer). The same form and table on a
different computer work normally. The files are in access 2000 format. I am
using office xp on the computer that does not accept data entry and office
professional on the one that does accept the input. Does anyone have an
answer?

Unfortunately, Microsoft recently lost a lawsuit which forced them to remove
the ability to update Excel spreadsheets from Access.

It sounds as though the patch that removed that ability has been applied to
your system at home, but not at work.

To add to Doug's comment, the patches that removed this capability affected
ACCESS 2002 and 2003; ACCESS 2000 was not affected.
