Micro Dry printers still exist?

I have been scowering the internet for a micro dry printer so we can
print with metallic colors on dark paper. All I find is info about the
Alps and Citizen Printiva printers which are all discontinued. Does
anybody know of any that are not discontinued and does anybody know
why these companies are running away from these products?

So I take it this means no one still makes micro dry printers?
