meta tag repetitions

Whenever a web page is saved, the meta tag <meta
name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 6.0" /> is
repeatedly copied into the html code. Then after some
saves there appears for eg. 3-6 meta name tags?!

Is this a internal Frontpage error or a setting that
needs to be changed?

That's abnormal
Try running a repair on FP (Help Repair)
and a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks on the Site
