You want to uninstall Windows Messenger??
Go to START
got to RUN
cut and paste this command into the box:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%
\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

hit OK
Windows Messenger will be deleted.

Greetings TD,

It sounds like you've installed Windows Messenger 5 then, firstly, click Start, then Run,
type (or copy/paste) the following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.

Assuming you do have Windows Messenger 5 uninstalled, this should remove it completely for
you.

Jonathan,
Thank you. But it turns out it was something else.
Although I did not install it myself, it was messenger
plus! that was complaining.
I did not read the error message properly. My fault that.
However, why did messenger plus! get installed on a new
machine?
I have since re-installed plus! and removed it again.
Thanks for your help.
