Hi!

I waiting as long as possible but I finally installed MSN Messenger 6.0.
When I boot my PC (I have cable internet), Messenger 6 will not
automatically log on. It does load BEFORE my firewall, which is Norton
Internet Security. Windows Messenger always started automatically. 6.0 is
configured to automatically start and attempts to but fails before the
firewall starts. Is that an issue?

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Hi Brian,
Open messenger, click Tools, options, then the
connections tab. See if you are configured to use a
proxy server. This may be preventing the automatic logon
since messenger is starting before the proxy server is
connected. It could be the version of proxy server that
you are using is selected incorrectly.

After a few reboots, I think Norton finally "worked it out." It starts now.

Thanks!

I take that back..I booted up this morning and it once again didn't want to
start up.
