I was reformating my desktop and I selected the recovery with a backup
mode option. I wanted all the documents and pictures and music ect.
However when the recovery was backing up the data, I changed my mind as

I was not sure if it will back up the documents and stuff (don't ask
why). So I switched off the computer at that point (it was almost done
backing up data). Now I am not sure what to do and if I lost the data
or I might still have it or I lost all ?

Pleassssssseeeeee help.......

I don't understand, you don't say anything about issues after you turned on
the pc again?? were their issues??
and what do you mean reformat the desktop?? do you mean reformat the
harddisk and reinstall the operating system??
Does the pc boot, if not what is the displayed error message?

The PC boots but windows does not load as the installation is not
complete. yeah I mean reformat he hardisk and reinstall the OS. Now the
error message is installation is not complete...

Ah, I see, you need to start again, since the install is not complete, most
likely you will have to start again from fresh, since the backup was not
done, you may be out of luck as far as saving your data, but try this, if
you have a friend who also has a computer, install your drive to their
computer as a slave, then see if ANY data can be recovered, if not, you will
have to do a format and reinstall from a blank HD, sorry to say!
