messanger live does not work in Vista

I have problem to run messanger live in Vista, the porgramme will stop by the
time i log in. Hope somebody can advise me. Thank you.
 
It is a crap program. I am using MSN Messenger 7.5 on vista home premium, and
it works fine.

I have live messenger on my home premium version and it works fine.

It would help for you to give some details of the problem.

What do you mean "will stop by the time i log in" - stop how? what
errors? Have you upgraded to the latest version? Have you tried
reinstalling? is it stopping because it cannot get a connection? Do you
have a firewall/proxy blocking access? etc etc.... details are your
friend, ambiguity is your foe.

I'm using 8.1 build 8.1.0178.00
 
this worked for me:
1. start menu
2. computer
3. double click C drive (or drive you installed vista
4. double click program files
5. double click MSN messenger
6. right click msnmsgr
7. properties
8. compatibility- change TO: run this program as an administrator

He is running messenger live, NOT MSN messenger. i am the one running MSN
messenger, and I DON'T have any problems!
So, why give advice about MSN Messenger?
