I have several questions about Outlook and will ask one in each of several posts
I have found that in Outlook (unlike my experience with Outlook Express) it takes a very long time (hours) for messages to appear in my Inbox after they have been sent by someone. For example, someone sent me a message this afternoon and it still has not appeared in my Inbox but I can launch Outlook Express and there's the message! My mail server is an IMAP server so the message clearly is still on the server and should be viewable in Outlook; it will probably be there tomorrow morning. I have verified this phenomenon myself by sending myself a mail message ... it simple doesn't appear for hours (sooner or later it does appear) even if I hit SEND/RECEIVE to force it to look at the server; my experience with Outlook Express is that the message appears within a minute or two of it being sent
Perhaps there is some operating option/preference I have set that explains this but I certainly didn't do it intentionally
Thanks
