Someone has told me that my messages to them arrive with paperclip icons
There were no attachments sent so what is causing this?
Michael, Selsey, England

your anti virus program may be attaching a

"scanned a verified by...." message

It's a feature of mime. Somewhere in the text of your message is the 'begin
....' phrase used to denote a mime attachment.

Mark,
Thanks for that.. My message certainly had 'beginning' in it.
Is there a way to prevent it happening?
Michael

There are characters that could be inserted, e.g. bègin (alt-0232 is è) or
begín (alt-0237 is í ) Of course the spell checker would need an add :)
