Messages in Outbox

I have sent email messages sitting in my outbox (2007,vista) I cannot seem to
get sent. I have searched the internet for solutions although have not found
any yet. Has anyone found this to be a problem and/or have a solution?
 
I have windows live one care and searched for a place to manipulate email but
did not find one
 
MS is apparently going to discontinue LiveOne Care in mid 2009, personnaly
I'd suggest uninstalling it and sourcing another AV solution - AVG can be
had as a free version
