Messages I have moved to a folder keep coming back into the inbox

Why do my emails which I have moved into a folder keep coming back into my
inbox in Outlook 2007? Thanks.

What type of account?

Yes, that's what I'm asking.

When you move a message from one IMAP folder top another or from an IMAP
folder to a local folder, does the original's header get overstruck and the
message then appear in the new folder? If you click Edit>Purge Deleted
Messages, to finalize the move, does the message come back later?
