messages disappearing when replied or forwarded

I have Outlook 2000 SR-1 running o Windows 98SE.

Whenever I receive an e-mail, particularly if it has an attachment, and
click on either Reply or Forward, the message is sent correctly, but
disappears from my Inbox.

I have tried various Advanced settings in the e-mail options, but they
appear to make no difference.

I have reinstalled my Office 2000 but it still behaves the same way.

Sounds like you have your view set to "Unread Messages". Replying to or
forwarding a messages marks it as read, so your view hides it.
