message: The page cannot be displayed (cannot find server)

Hi all

I have recently been experiencing a very annoying intermittent problem. When I attempt to access a web page sometimes it comes up with a page that says "The page cannot be displayed" followed by some info about checking my settings...which I believe are correct. Also on the title bar of the window it says " cannot find server". It dosent happen all the time and if I retry to access the site it will go through (sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times). I am using OS Me. I ran the usual anti spyware/virus programs. Any ideas

Could be many things. Start here.

Check this out also.
It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

Make sure that AdAware and Spybot are up to date.
