When I print (in word or excel) to a network printer I get a little message
bottom right hand corner that my document has been sent to the printer (along
with some other information).
How can I turn this prompt off?
Thanks.
Rita

I'm not 100% sure about this, but it can't hurt...

From the Windows Start menu, click Settings > Printers > File > Server
Properties > Advanced and uncheck any options that mention
"notification".

FWIW, I see this on isolated documents; I have no idea why I get it for just
a few and not for the rest.

Thanks to both of you for responding.
Yes Jay, it worked. There are in fact 2 settings - one for local printers
and one for network printers. Mine had only network selected.
Thank you!!!

i am trying to do the oppsite, i want at least an error when a document does
not print. i checked on every box in that window and none of them seem to
make the make the message box appear. i am printing to a printer that is
connected to a computer, but then is shared to many others. it is printing
fine right now, just not giving me any message bubble.
