Hi, can anyone help, on larger messages when sending the mail gets sent but
remains in the outbox and then is continuously re sent. I have detected and
repaired but that does not help, any suggestions?

This can be caused by several things. One if by scaning your outgoing mail
with an antivirus scanner, a complete waste of time. Another is by having a
server timeout value set too low. Examine the Advanced tab of your account
properties pages. A third is a send/receive interval that is too short.
Make sure it is no less than about 10 minutes.

Not too jacked up when it comes to PC's, yes my antiivirus does scan
outgoing and incoming mail, does this cause a problem? If it does and I need
to stop that how would I go about changing that and will I not become more
susceptible to viruses??
Also cant find the send/receive interval options which field is it under?

It can.

This will be an option in the AV program. Some AV programs require
uninstalling and reinstalling without the option to truly disable it.

No, especially if you practice some care. As long as you continue to run
your on-access scanner you should be equally safe.

While viewing the Inbox, click ALT-CTRL-S or click Tools>Options>Mail
Setup>Send/Receive or Tools>Send/Receive>Send/Receive Settings>Define
Send/Receive Groups.

Sorry Slade - here's the reply I intended.

I have a similar problem with Send/Receive starting up before the current
Send/Receive has completed and Outlook not being smart enough to know that
the message is already being sent. Only occurs on larger emails. I have
Send/Receive set to occur every 10 minutes but subsequent concurrent
Send/Receives start up within 30 seconds. As each one starts up, the
percentage complete decreases (50%, then 33%, then 12% etc.
The only way I have been able to avoid this annoying problem is to turn off
"Send immediately when connected"
