Merging problems

Hi,

I'm trying to merge a table in a word document.
Everything is ok, but just got problems with a field of that table that is
linked with other table, so what happens is that instead of showing the text
in word document, it shows the code of the field.
How can I solve this?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a lookup field or subdata sheet in the table for that particular
field? If so you now know of just one of the many reasons people hate those
things.

Create a query linking the two tables properly and use it for the merge.

Hi,

Yes, there is a lookup field.
So, I don't have a chance right?

Thanks.

Don't give up yet. Actually it's not all that hard. In a query bring down
both the tables, the one you've been using plus the one that's in the lookup
field. Join these two tables together and drag down the fields you need. Run
the query and see what happens.

Hi,

But that is what I already have.
I've got a query with both tables, and in MS Access I see all the data well,
but when I merge it, in the Word document, I see the code (the number),
instead of the text that is on that field.
