Hi

I would be grateful for anyone whom can help!

I need to merge one text file to a template. I am stuck on HOW t
reference which certain peices of text to be inserted in certai
fields.

I thought about using Mail Merge - but this didnt work, as its not
letter, and just information that I am taking from a database, writin
to a text file and then HOPING the sort this text into its appropriat
fields of a word.dot template.

I have tried using a macro - and this is causing errors aswell.

Is there a way of referencing fields and getting them automaticall
inserted into another document?

Thank you

Mail merge is not limited to letters. Form letter is just a generic term for
a merge that produces a separate page for each record.
If I understand correctly what you are trying to do, you need to bookmark
the passages you wish to include in the source document, then use
includetext fields in the target document to place the bookmarks.
