Merging Data

I have a table designed in Access and I wanted to know is it possible to
merge in a field from another table saved in a separate file? There is a
field which is identical in both tables so I'm assuming the data could be
merged in to 1 table using this key field found in both tables. If this is
possible to do, could someone kindly advise on how to do this? Thank you.

Create a query, link the two fields together, then change the query to a
make-table query and run it. It will create your new table. Or use a union
query.
