merge two docs and still retain different fonts

i recently created a two sided, three colums per side pamphlet. I made each
side a separate document. It works fine on my printer as it doesn't print
both sides at once. Then i took it to be printed and they only had a two
sided printer and refused to print one side and then flip it over. So i was
forced to go back and create a new doc combing both sides of the pamphlet.
When trying to copy and paste, the second page font sizes are lost. I ended
up having to go in and change it all back by hand. I had used 2 different
size fonts on both sides and pictures on both sides. I tried merging and got
the same results. It seems like it should be simple to just cut and paste it
in! what am i doing wrong?????

Well thanks anyway suzanne! but i was using a normal style. And that doesn't
really answer my questions. Or i gather from your reply that this is
something that can't be done?? Seems rather limited on Words part.
