Merge or Join Access Tables

Hello:

Is there a simple way to merge or join two (or more) Access tables based on
a common (text) variable?

No, the main table would have a list of all counties in the US and then I
want to match up multiple other tables which would have cases of a disease
per county (per year). The disease does not present every year in every
county, so each matching table would only have a subset of the original list
of counties.
