Menus did not render properly on screen.

Today for some reason menus such as the right-click menus on the desktop
and taskbar doesn't render properly: i.e. I see the shadow, but thats
all, and if I roll over the menu i can see the entries. This odd
behavior didn't come back up when I restarted my machine. Any insight
into what just happened is appreciated.

I can do a quick mockup in Photoshop to show you what it looked like to me.

Ok I see. So the only way fix the glitch is by reloading the video
subsystem, which can only be done by restarting ^_^ I still find it kind
of odd that it would happen, though.

If it happens again, you could try making a desktop resolution change to
force the video card to reset.
