Menu toolbar disappeared

In my Access database i have my menu toolbar disappeared.This is the main
menu and i cannot customize the toolbars nor import tables and other objects.
I have tried with the following function :
DoCmd.ShowToolbar "Menu Bar", acToolbarYes
But the meny toolbar does not appear.Any help will be much appreciated

Does holding down a <SHIFT> key while opening the db allow you back into the
Tools>Startup... dialog?
