Hi my son altered the speed that the start/all programs menus open to very
fast and I don't like it. How can slow them down? (son has gone)

Sophie;
Your son (bless his little heart) may have installed TweakUI on your
machine. Search for TweakUI.exe, probably at: C:\WINDOWS\system32\TweakUI.exe.
Double click it to open TweakUI.
Mouse
The Menu Speed slider control sets the speed at which cascading menus
automatically open when you move the mouse over them. The fastest setting causes
them to open immediately and the slowest setting is extraordinary slow.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

(And check first - he may have put it there already)
