menu not staying in table

My table is set to the center, but if I look at my website "home" in a
larger resolution, the menu (buttons) are way to the left as well as the
banner. How do I correct this, so it doesn't look so funky. If I look at my
"home" page in a normal view the menu (buttons) are in place.

Also in your opinion, what is the normal for a table in width & height, so
that it is workable for any given design. Thanks

Please look at www.nooksack-tribe.org. It is the webpage you will see.

Also, I have a sub-menu that seems to be always open, and when I go and
hover over other parts of this menu, it will shut But if I am looking at
another webpage, and click on "home" to go back, the submenu will be open,
and I shut it. Thank you for your help!

Molly,

You are using absolute positioning::

<div style="position: absolute; width: 371px; height: 48px; z-index: 1; left: 185px; top: 60px"
id="NskName">
<div style="position: absolute; width: 110px; height: 26px; z-index: 4; left: 369px; top: 125px"
id="canoeName">
<div style="position: absolute; width: 180px; height: 224px; z-index: 2; left: 106px; top: 364px"
id="mainMenu">
<div style="position: absolute; width: 131px; height: 77px; z-index: 1; left: 94px; top: 20px; "
id="CouncilSubMenu"

Yes, Thomas

As you can probably tell by the many posts on drop-down menus this has been
a real headache for me. I would get the perfect menu /submenu working as it
should then something goes haywire, and my submenu will not open or will not
shut in which case they need to do both when I upload them to the web server.

Please take a look and tell me what is going on. I have uploaded my changes
so everything is there to see. It just really bothered me that when looking
at my site from my home computer (my monitor is a viewsonic 20'), and seeing
the big difference compare to the monitor I use at work (Benco 17'). well I
had to bother your guys again. Thanks for looking!

Thomas:

I have also read in some of the dq's that some recommend -width 100%. Is
this 100% width in pixels or percent for the acutal table?

Mollybird,

Sorry, I really can't help with this issue as I don't work with CSS / and positioning. I work with
table only to position page content.

I am sure other here will be able to help solve this issue.
