Memory not "read"

M

Moctaram

I get this message several times when I scan or copy with Lexmark 1150.

The instruction at "0x004098ea" referenced memory at "0x00153000". The
memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

Sorry about posting my first reply to your email instead of group....

512MB of RAM is plenty to run the programs you mentioned. I would clean out
the temporary internet files, run CHKDSK and defrag the drive(s).

If that doesn't help, you may have an issue with your RAM. If you have
2X256MB sticks, try removing one and see if the problem persist. If so, swap
them out and try the other.

If you do a google search for "the memory could not be read" you will find
some articles and other forum post that address the same problem.

Good Luck,
Fitz

Hi,

You need a driver update, as the ones you are using are faulty.
