NewEgg doesn't carry anything from these makers.

What is a reasonable course of action?

I want 2x512mb.

I like to stay w/a dealer I'm confident in?

Micron modules are sold by their retail arm, which is Crucial.com

http://www.crucial.com/store/listpa...ds&mfr=ASUS&cat=RAM&model=P4S800-MX&submit=Go

Now, Newegg carries one of the modules on the Crucial web page:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-532&depa=0

And here is a picture of it. If you look closely at the stickers
in the picture, a Micron MT16VDDT6464AG-40BC4 is the same thing
as a Crucial CT6464Z40B. (The 16T means the module has 16 chips
on it.)

http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=20-146-532-01.JPG

The module is $72 at Crucial and $64 at Newegg, but check what the
difference is in warranty coverage, before you purchase. The Newegg
product is marked OEM, meaning Newegg provides the warranty as far
as I know, and not Crucial. Phone them both up, and ask them what
are the warranty terms.
